The AVZ-Group comprises 4 companies and 3 divisions, all of which are Dutch market leaders in the field of sun protection systems, insect screens, patio roofs and roller shutters. The various companies that comprise AVZ-Group are therefore specialized in every imaginable aspect of sun blind production. There are in total 296 employees working for the group divided over 4 branches. For instance, AVZ and SunStock supply trade sections to assembly companies, while Hylas provides the fabric for numerous types of sun blinds, and Smits supplies complete products to sun shading dealers.

The vitality of our employees is central to our brand new vitality program Fit4work. A healthy snack and fruit at work should of course not be missed!
As of this year, a surprising and tasty range of fruit will be offered at all branches, with a varied diet as the central focus. Fresh fruit is delivered several times a week so you can grab a healthy snack and get more energy.

Fit4Work Preventive Medical Examination
To give get more insight into the health situations of our employees, AVZ-Groups offers a preventive Medical Examination which will give our employees the insight in their own health situation, and they will get help to improve their health with easy and fast steps.

Rob Jongenelen
Besides the fact that it’s fantastic to work for a wonderful group of companies, it is also more than good that we at AVZ-Group included sustainability in our business strategy. Since I also try to do everything, I can in my private life to live as sustainably as possible and to have as little negative impact on the world as possible. I also want to implement this as much as possible within Smits Rolluiken en Zonwering and other AVZ-Group companies. After all, a better environment starts with yourself!
Joris Koppens
As an Industrial designer at AVZ-Group, I try to look at sustainability from a R&D perspective. The future needs more sustainable products and innovations, and we need to contribute to that future as well. As a part of the younger generation of Designers and Engineers, I find it very important to realize this future together.

As a Sustainability Manager I am very proud to work for AVZ-Group. Sustainability has always been part of my DNA and at the moment I work at a company where this subject is as important! Together we work on more sustainable products and are involved in a variety of projects to move towards a more sustainable future!

As sales employee at AVZ-Group, I like to contribute to a sustainable future. The first steps to realize this have already been taken through the various measures that have been implemented. The focus is now on changes within our organization, but in the end it would be nice if we could also involve our customers. I believe that together we can reduce our carbon footprint.
Dick van Dalfsen
The department logistics makes an important contribution to the sustainability of our company. Residual waste, wood, cardboard and plastic have been separated for years. Cardboard and plastic are pressed into bales, so that their disposal requires less transport (pollution). We no longer use plastic filling material when packing in boxes. We had new heaters installed for the heating of the warehouse. These have a more efficient combustion and are easier to adjust. All fluorescent fixtures have been replaced by LED, resulting in more than 30% savings on electricity. The overhead doors are equipped with remote controls so that they are open for less time and therefore less heat is lost. We will continue to look for opportunities to achieve sustainability, efficiency and cost reduction!
